About the Artist: Art has always been a big part of Mardell Schuster’s life. She attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in the 1980’s, where she majored in Illustration and Graphic Design. Mardell has experimented with many different mediums, but colored pencil continues to be her favorite. In 2015, she started combining marker and colored pencil and immediately noticed a dramatic improvement in her artwork. Mardell lives in North Carolina with her husband and some furry feline friends.
